I haven't logged in since the 11 December, so I was surprised to see that I had received a message from a member with the username, jcorral02. When I tried to access the message it said that the message had been deleted. I did check the person's post count and saw that there were no posts made by this user. I'm wondering why the message was deleted.
Thanks

1. It might have been a spammer and he got banned. I know I reported one that had a similar name but I can't recall 100% if it was him.
2. I know you can delete private messages that you sent but weren't read by the receiver.
3. Maybe he deleted his account, which made his private messages go away, but I'm not sure if that truly happens when you delete your account (or deactivate it).
Doubt it was important if it came from a guy with 0 posts. If it was, he'll just send you another one eventually, right?

Thanks for replying to my post, I suspected as much but I wasn't 100% sure if this was the case. I really appreciate it.

TwilightVanguard has it right. It's either a banned spammer. Or someone who changed their mind about the message they sent. Before you had time to read it.
Deleting / deactivating accounts doesn't affect private messages though. Anything sent can be opened by the recipient. Whatever the status of the sender's account.

More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.”

Thanks for the explanation, Ada. I couldn't open the message anyway, so I just deleted it from my inbox.
