Why are the curse words that I used censored?

Postby michaelsears69 » Thu May 29, 2014 8:59 am

Could one of you kind, wonderful people that run this site be so kind as to explain to me why exactly it is that I am not able to use curse words here? Is this website a Christian based Jesus forum with moral obligation to protect the fragile and the weak little monsters of earth? So they don't get hurt? How about my God damn right to express myself with ease?

Hi

Psychforums is also used by minors hence promoting a family friendly policy. There are some forums which are an exception to the family friendly rule in terms of content but the swearing policy applies across the site. I know there are forums online which are aimed just at adults and allow swearing so if it is important for you to be able to swear to express yourself you might want to look for somewhere which will let you do this.

Adults are also old enough to be able to fill in the blanks, so actually seeing the words isn't necessary. If it's necessary for you, go to the chalkboard at your school and have at it.

ya it actually is necessary. theres a difference between knowing a word is there and actually seeing it. besides its so satisfying to have a good swear without having to bleep yourself out.

Most adults can read between the lines. Most children can't. There's enough filth on the internet as it is. No need to add to it IMO

Let's see, uncensored words...

*mod edit* And I'm sure there is more.

Real family friendly. Yah.

So don't get me in trouble. I'm not bypassing the filter at all.

Steady on old chap! :D

Yes, the software doesn't censor everything. If if comes up in regular conversation. And is uncensored. Great!

But really there's no need for testing just how pottymouthed we can be.
We think too much and feel too little.
More than machinery, we need humanity.
More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.

If you find that your vocabulary is so limited that you have to swear in order to put your point across, then, as I mentioned previously, I suggest you find somewhere other than PF to post.
