Reporting to the authorities
If the team has reasonable reasons to think that anybody could be at risk based on the information stored on the website, it reserves the right to report you to the authorities without you being notified.

This forum is intended to be a place where people can support each other in finding healing and healthy ways of functioning. Discussions that promote illegal activity will not be tolerated. Please note that this forum is moderated, and people who are found to be using this forum for inappropriate purposes will be banned. Psychforums works hard to ensure that this forum is law abiding. Moderators will report evidence of illegal activity to the police.
In practice we're not going to try to check whether someone is in a country where marijuana is legal. If they mention smoking pot. Or report every single post in the Shoplifting forum. And where "criminal activity" relates to spent convictions. That's not useful to re-report.
However, if you're unsure, it would be best to err on the side of caution and discretion. Bearing in mind that these forums are open to the public. And are archived in search engines. If you want to contact a moderator and ask more directly. That might produce a clearer response. Since I'm trying to cover a variety of possible issues in this answer. So apologise if it's still vague.
Finally. Being
allowed to post something is rather different. To whether it's
sensible to post. Where to draw that line is very much up to individuals.
