Signature issues

Postby Anonymous26170 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 2:19 am

When I press the button to save a signature, I'm told in red text that a total of 0 characters are allowed in signatures. Why is this?
I definitely have no empathy, seems to me like no emotion, cannot be diagnosed for a while (family reasons), and generally don't seem to fit into any disorder I've looked up. I'd be "happy" to tell my story to anyone who wanted to listen.

Normally that is an issue with not having sufficient posts yet. There was another recent discussion about it here: member-corner/topic118742.html

You have more than enough posts now to be able to change your signature though. Are you still experiencing the problem?
I am not on the forum much these days. Please contact another staff member. Thank you.

I'm having a similar issue...on my profile I can update my signature, occupation, and interests but not my location.

I think the location field may have been disabled globally as a precaution to protect member's privacy and anonymity. I got the message "The field “Location” is too long, a maximum of 0 characters is allowed" myself when I tried to change my own location in the profile settings. I looked at a some random members and couldn't find any right off with the location filled in. I may have to investigate that more. I am able to change my signature though and those with 5 or more posts should be able to as well.

Okay, makes sense. The rest of my profile seems to work so it should be okay :)

Confirmation of my suspicion is here: member-corner/topic108373.html#p1077729

It is purposefully not possible to enter information in "Location" in your profile and that's to keep things more anonymous.

Ah, will make a signature when I can find the time then.

It's 2015 and I have the same problem. You'd think PsychForums would have had the decency to change that ridiculous rule by now. :/

 As soon as spammers have the decency. To stop deluging the forum in ridiculous adverts. Including attempting it in signatures. Then we'll change the rule!
