Deactivate/delete my account

Postby Need Help Please » Sat Oct 26, 2013 2:47 pm

I joined this site today out of a fear of not confronting people that I care about with an issue concerning them. Now however I realize that while the other posts on this site have let me know that I am not the only person in the world feeling down about issues in this area, I cannot avoid them on the matter because I care about them and need to deal with it directly, with that in my I would like to request that my profile be deleted and if possible the post I created removed as I will not bother anyone on this site with my own problems again. I need to face up to them and get my life sorted out. If you could confirm this for me I would be eternally grateful for this. However after reading forum rules I realise you may not delete account or posts but just deactivate the account, if this is literally all you can do then that is ok but I would prefer to have the stuff removed all together as I just joined today out of fear of not talking to thoughs dearest to me, I dont want to think that the issues I have are now forever stuck online for random people to read

if this can be done but not by you can I please ask you to refer me to the admin who can?

I send a message asking the same. Deactivate/unsubscribe my account. By the lack of response to your post this does not bode well.
Mods, can you deactivate my account?

I've deactivated your account, Flowerdog.

Need Help Please, I can deactivate your account, please PM me to confirm. I checked through your post and there's nothing personally identifying or unusual. [Which are the only grounds for making edits. And as you saw in the Rules, we can't delete posts.] However, you aren't bothering us with your posts. The site exists for us to help each other with the issues we're dealing with. We have privacy through anonymity. And I've found it powerful to share problems with people who have been in the same places. Dealt with similar issues. Family and friends have their own problems too. And sometimes it can be hard for them to really listen to someone they care about when it's on a challenging topic.

I'll 100% respect your decision re your account. Just wanted to encourage you to stay if you're comfortable with that instead.

Messages stay in the Outbox until they are read. No problem deactivating your account. Take care. :)

Hi Mariyah. I can't delete your account but I can deactivate it. So no-one can log into it. And you won't receive forum emails. Would that be OK?

Now, that is a super quick reply!
Yes, please deactivate my account.
Hopefully it will be deleted with time.

I want my account deleted and all my posts deleted. I at least hope I will be able to edit my post because I have been unable to.
