Why are blog posts not being approved?

I think a moderator has to approve each blog post manually. Depending on how many moderators are online and how big the backlog is, it may take a while.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

Well then the moderators are currently taking as relaxed an attitude towards approving blog posts as I took with my underwear today.

Sorry about that, Cornelius. It annoyed me too when I was blogging before becoming a mod. The reasons are largely as Platypus says. I'll work through the list now.

How long does it take for moderators to approve blog comment
