How does the consumer rank work?

Postby cfit60 » Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:06 am

I've search for directions and/or explanation for how the consumer ranking works? I've posted many times and even did a blog, which I don't understand the difference from a posting. I'm at a 5 consumer ranking, but no matter how many posts or blogs I do my ranking remains a 5. Then again there is nothing on this website that can tell me what the ranking means? Is it just me or is the explanation for the consumer ranking missing?

Can anyone help explain the ranking and the difference between a post and a blog? Obviously I'm not too computer savvy, but I really need to express myself and my current mental status. I like this website a lot. I can express my true deep dark feelings without fear of being locked away in a mental ward.

Thanks,

Chaz

The consumer ranking just indicates the number of posts you've made

Consumer 1 (1 dot)= 20 posts
Consumer 2 (2 dots)= 40 posts
Consumer 3 (3 dots)= 60 posts
Consumer 4 (4 dots)= 80 posts
Consumer 5 (5 dots)= 100 posts
Consumer 6 (6 dots)= 200 posts

So you are a fair way off of having posted enough times for your ranking to go from consumer 5 to 6... Once you've posted 93 more times, it will jump up again. It may just be because the increments were smaller initially (only having to post 20 posts) before getting to the next level that now you feel like it is taking ages to get to consumer level 6 because it's a lot more posts before you reach that level.

Blogs are sort of like writing a journal. Blogs don't get many people reading them though and they won't count towards your post count. Generally I'd recommend always writing posts on the forum (instead of blogs) so that you can get other people's insight and thoughts on what you are going through. People tend to read posts on the forum more frequently so it's generally better to post where people will see it so that you can get some support for what you are going through.
In a way, I am not defined by my dissociation. In a way, I am.

The nice thing about blogs until someone reads it is usually its nice to just write feel like its out there in cyberspace and ya didnt have to hear someone else's two cents worth! And ya could care less what it counted towards or not no offense meant just sometimes nice to have a safe place to write where it feels like its gone somewhere but not...yaknow
