Lithium compared to Zyprexa. Does it make sedated?

Postby a35as » Thu Feb 16, 2012 9:15 pm

Hi. I am planning to switch to Lithium from Zyprexa. Does Lithium make sedated as much as Zyprexa or it can not even be compared and Lithium does not make sedated and sleep a lot? Secondly, is Lithium+Lamictal a good combo? And do you suggest me to switch to Lithium? And does lithium affect cognition?

Hi! You could ask in the forum where you talk about your illness too (as well as one more forum), maybe people will have something to add. Did you ask your doc about the side effects?

Thank you for the reply. OK - I will ask the question over there. Yes, I had asked to my Doctor same question as a preliminary research and he said it is no way near the sedative effect of Zyprexa but I did not talk in detail if I will use it or not - I will do so in the next week. But the experiences here is also important for me too. I guess it is not sedative.
