counteracting side effects - NRI's

I wondered if anyone here is taking an NRI anti depressant (Strattera, Rebuxotine) to counteract negetive effects of medications?

I'm on Effexor, Risperidone and Carbamazepine at the moment and for a long time now I've had a really bad lack of motivation, energy and concentration.. which has got worse in the last few months. Also I have had no sex drive for about 5 years.

I was researching medications to talk to my psychiartist and I found out about NRI's, which seem to be the answer. I just wondered if they have helped anybody here? and which did you find helpful?

Having done some brief research, I can see that the benefits of NRIs is still unclear. As such, I think that you should report everything back to your doctor and take it from there.

thanks, i've written a letter to my psychiatrist and will see him in a week and a half.

i read the information on Wikipedia, i didnt do much other research because i usually believe what i read there, but i'll go have a look else where.

do you know of any medications that have been researched to help with these problems?

I do not actually know of any, but I think that you're doctor will [know].
