Medications to slow down brain or cause big relaxation?

Postby curiousmind » Sat Oct 07, 2017 10:09 pm

I've not had much luck with medication thus far in my life for helping with my areas of mental illness. I have much psychotic type stuff going on, but the related medications they prescribed for that weren't of much help. I'm curious to try and give it a go again seeking help from medication though and am curious to do research first before just going to a doctor.

I'm thinking the right medication(s) to cause a big relaxation or slowing down inside effect might be a miracle for me and I'm curious what's out there. I've tried seroquel and benedryl and I wonder what other powerful ones are out there. Benedryl seems pretty weak and Seroquel was really uncomfortable for me like when I would fall asleep I would wake up gasping for air plus have a very uncomfortable level of slowed down like super sleepy.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
