Ptsd, Anxiety, Alprazolam & Bupropion

Postby Parad0xer » Fri Jan 29, 2016 3:51 am

I have PTSD, Insomnia and anxiety and I've been prescribed Alprazolam and Bupropion. I'd like to know your experience with these medications while dealing with PTSD, Anxiety and Insomnia and depression. How well does it work for you? Do the symptoms decrease? Increase? Any side effects you notice? Thanks in advance.

I also have PTSD, anxiety, insomnia and depression. I don't take alprazolam so I can't help you there. I take 1mg klonopin (clonazepam) for my anxiety and it works well. I took .5mg for six months and just today have increased to 1mg which I believe is still a low dose (could be wrong).

Been taking 100mg bupropion for a couple months. Told the doc the other day that I didn't see that it was helping any so he increased it to 150mg but to be honest I quit taking it a week ago. I'm rebelling, I guess. Sorry, can't help much there other than to say I didn't have any side effects from it. Will probably quit being a brat and start taking it again tomorrow.

I take mirtazapine for my insomnia, you might ask your doctor about that. I started at 15mg and it worked well for a couple months. I would take it around 7:30-8, and be asleep in 2 or 3 hours with no hangover in the morning. I just had it increased to 30mg cuz it seemed like it wasn't as effective anymore.

I've had no weight gain or loss issues with any of these meds.
