Stopping Seroquel

Postby SomethingWitty1 » Wed Jul 30, 2014 12:31 pm

I have been taking seroquel for only three days now at a low dose of 25mg and I want to stop. I don't like the side effects of constant fatigue and malaise. Would it be safe to stop completely now considering I haven't taken it for long and it is a low dose? Can I avoid withdrawal symptoms this way? Or would it be best to taper down?
Thanks :)

At such a low dose for such a short amount of time, I don't think withdrawals are going to be a problem. I just recently when from 250mg of Seroquel (split up over the course of the day, some XR, some regular) to nothing and had just a bit of nauseousness.
Before you stop taking the Seroquel, call who prescribed it and tell them, if not to let them know what's going on, then to prevent a lecture the next time you see him.
You are unique, just like everybody else.
