Prozac making me feel cold?

Postby xbluekittyx » Thu Jul 21, 2011 9:55 pm

Hiya, I was wondering if prozac made anyone else feel cold? It has been making me feel really cold, the coldness does ware-off in about half an hour but it happens daily and feels really uncomfortable! even happens in hot weather!

Sounds odd. I am not a professional but cannot think of any pharmocological reason why it should. Does it happen after you take the dose? I think that your pahrmacist is probably the best person to ask about this. Hmmm got me thinking now...

I got all cold and shivery when I was taking Prozac with Epilim (valproate). It was a warm autumn day and I sat in the doctors office (air conditioning which was probably reasonably warm) with two jumpers and a big overcoat on- and I was still freezing. Not sure if it was the Prozac or the Epilim doing it. It also made me dissociate far more than normal.

I adjusted to wearing lots of clothing when I started cutting bad enough to scar. I was always cold before so my parents didn't ask any questions. After I started Prozac it could be 95 and I'm fine in my BDUs and a jacket. This is when it started bothering my parents.
Sorry about my spelling and grammar. I am learning disabled and the spell check on my i-pod doesn't always work well. =\
