Citalopram & Zopiclone

Postby PomelineGalloway » Mon Nov 25, 2013 1:58 am

HI there all :)

I was wondering what anyone elses' reactions to either of these meds' has been? Especially in taking them in conjunction with each other?

Iv'e had a read through of a few other topics but can't quite find what I'm looking for.

I have been taking both for about 5 months now, Citalopram 2 a day at night (so I sleep) and Zopiclone as required as I have bad sleeping patterns and get exhausted anyway.

I'm been wondering if my citalopram is effecting my paranoia and making me hallucinate? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have been on citalopram and had to stop it due to it making me go manic. When I am manic I do experience paranoia. For some people who are bipolar I (such as myself) mania can come with hallucinations also. I personally did not experience hallucinations, but I thought I would throw it out there as a possibility. Perhaps it would be good to contact your pdoc and talk to them about the things you are experiencing?
