Help for HSC re. schizophrenia

Hi, my name is Bianca and i am currently in year twelve and doing the HSC. For four unit english, i am writing a short story and i have decided to create a story with two narrators; one is schizophrenic and the other is his girlfriend. I need to understand this illness further by talking to people who have had direct experience with the illness or someone who actually suffers from it. I would eb extremely interested to hear from you as i need to get as much info as i can about the emotional consequences for the by standers and the individual experiences of the sufferers.
