my friend hazel used to be the happiest hyperist girl i ever knew and she stuffed her face like the world was going to come to an end but never put on weight and i used to think she was so lucky as if i ate a piece of toast my bum would grow a size lol we all loved her to pieces but one day she started becoming anti-social hiding away from everyone and when we did see her we noticed she was extremely fussy about her food and she told us that the doctor had told her she had certain food allergies and it never clicked in my brain that she was lying untill one day my mum said "Hazel has been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and is in hospital seriously ill" when that day came everything was different she cut herself off from us except for the occasional letter and the occasional time she would let us visit her, she got so weak couldnt run couldnt punch could only lie in bed and sleep or cry or stair at the ceiling before the anorexia diagnosis she was still quite lively but not as lively as she used to be she could still run, walk even and still had a fiar good punch to her the doctors eventually said she would have to go to gartnavel as an in patient and she got tubes forced down her nose and throat and force fed she developed depression and all sorts of other things from being put in that place and we hardly ever saw her, she is home now ansd on recovery but she is a completely different hazel and its just so sad cause she was the happiest liveliest person i ever knew!!!

Probably because she started to think about the diagnosis. I know that if you are constantly thinking about symptoms etc, you're going to get them.... That's just what happens sometimes if you're worried about it.
