Positive account on mental illness

Don't know about you folk but I find it a bit of a struggle. Doesn't help reading or hearing about others sometimes. Find some books by people are real depressing or else there by 'folk' who know it all (professionals even!)

Have any of you read The Naked Bird Watcher by Suzy Johnston - found it it a real good positive story about what it is like and how she got to grips with it. It really bucked me up. www.thecairn.com her site and her mom wrote To Walk on Eggshells about her side of the story too which will be great for family and friends. It's getting real good reviews. www.thecairn.com

Does anyone know of any other good POSITIVE books that actually are dignified about having mental illness? There some real crap out there - sensationalising it and that kinda stuff.
