Welcome to the forums. I love the site "On Being Bipolar" I have a bipolar site also, but it is extensive--I wrote a book about my experiences, plus many articles. I have links to several free books that have helped me. I've been stablized for many years and try to give hope to others who have mental illness.

Welcome Morgalis!

I was just diagnosised as being BP2 two weeks ago. I am single female who lives in NYC and travels for work. I have a few great friends in the city and a caring family in a different state. Right now, I feel very removed from my family and all of them keep saying they would not be coping as well as I do.... which doesn't help me much. I don't feel I have anyone I can just talk to honestly about what I am feeling. If finding out being bipolar changes anything? and fears about what the meds will changed for me. I don't even know what I am feeling really.

I know you must have SO much going on with your move and everything else, but could you take a minute to tell me some of the things that helped you when you were first diagnosed?
