Online Therapy

Postby MrYowler » Thu Apr 28, 2005 5:25 pm

Hey all!

Last night right before I fell asleep, I briefly thought about the topic of online therapy. Does anyone have any first-hand experience? I was maybe thinking of setting something up sometime in the future, but I'm not really sure. Any advice or comment would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,
Mr. Yowler

MrYowler,

I don't have and first hand ( or second hand) experience with that sort of thing. If done correctly it could be beneficial. I would have to know a bit more about what you are proposing before I could give an answer that is less wishy-washy than mine

Ok Mr. Yowler,

in a previous thread you complained about high views and low reply posts.

You put "Online Therapy" as your subject. Your post could be about a TON of things on this subject, you do realize?

So I click on this. I read your post. I have nothing to offer it. I close the thread and move on. Now why is this such a big deal to you? Do you really mean you just want people to log on and reply even if all they have to say is "sorry man, never experienced it and can't help you"???? I guess if that works for you. But I have to say if I post something and someone replies just to say they have no knowledge and can't help me...I'm the type of person who would read it, roll my eyes and be like FINE....no problem...move on so the next guy and reply!

I'm sorry, as I have already said. I see no need for you to extend your feelings on my other post to this one. You have stated them already. The example is unnecessary, you made your point.

I was not referring to post like these, I was referring to posts about people hurting emotionally that are left unanswered. Obviously, I am not asking for every person that looks at this and has no comment to state that. That doesn't make any sense.

I worded my statement completely wrong, but my intentions were well meant. I am sorry for wording it as I did.

Ok,

I can accept that I didn't need to reply here. However...in my defense...I was on-line long before you and seeing your posts one after another. I saw this post immediatly after I replied to the one we are discussing from the other thread. I saw this and felt it was a great example.

And quite frankly; I feel your reply to me here totally contradicts and backtracks everything you wanted to "put bluntly" in the other thread. You say you were not referring to post like these...you didn't provide any example of what type of posts you were referring to in that other thread. Both posts are in the Living w/ Mental Illness Forum and that was all you eluded too "Living w/ Mental Illness".

However. I do see that at the very end of the above post you state you feel you worded yourself poorly and apologize. So having noted that....I accept and let it go.
