Having been researching the net for a prolonged period of time I have ultimately reached the conclusion that I am in fact a stupid buffon.

No body is this world is stupid.
We all deal with things differently, we all act differently.
Those who do feel like that often have low self esteem.
Why do you think this of you, and this is in the wrong forum so I'm going to move it, possibly it's spam too but time will tell.

Well part of recovery is admitting you have a problem. Most people with Aspergers are frankly not geniuses but they tend to do really well in one subject. For example, I am a math genius but I am horrible in verbal, written expression. I think most people in a way are like that, and though they may be horrible in science, or math, or history, they might have a gift in automotive repair. The key is finding what you enjoy and what marketable skills you have and make a career out of it.
