Is anyone watching me or reading my mind?

Is it possible that someone might be watching me or reading my mind?

I'm undecided on mind-reading, although I have had tenuous mental connections with people before, over long distances. But more feelings and ideas and a sense of well being, or more usually, the lack thereof. Sometimes I'll know what someone is thinking, before they actually say it- but that's someone I'm in tune with.

Do you think someone's watching you? Or reading your mind in an unwelcome fashion?

Oh and I like the user name- I have an appreciation for clever plays on user names.

How do I stop someone from reading my mind?

If you mean outright telepathy; I'm not satisfied it exists- I wouldn't know how to stop it if it does- I just know I've had close connections with people before, rarely. But that doesn't answer the question, do you think it's being done to you? Who, and why would they?

Also it would be helpful if you have a professional diagnosis of anything- often times you can get better answers, in a particular forum- this one is more the 'catch all' forum for topics that fall in the cracks- but if this concern of yours, is linked to something that you suffer from, then I could point you to a better forum. For example, I'm OCD so when I have trouble with intrusive thoughts that's the place for me to be.

If you don't have a formal diagnosis of anything that's fine; just that knowing if you do have one, we could perhaps help you better by placing this in a forum that will generate the most discussion, compared to this one.

No one can read your mind. It just doesn’t happen. What might seem to you like people reading your mind are three things: deduction, synchronicity and empathy.

Deduction is when people have a more or less accurate idea of what you might be thinking based on their observation of you: your facial expression, body language, tone of voice, behaviour and your words. If you fidget a lot and keep looking at the time, it is easy to deduct you are in a hurry to leave, which would not be the only possibility but the most likely one.

Synchronicity is when two people have the same idea at the same time completely accidentally. It happens to me often that just as I am thinking of eating, someone around me says “Aren’t you hungry?” We just happen to be hungry at the same time. It even happens with really precise things. One time, I was going to suggest to someone that we might be characters in a specific book, and just as I opened my mind to say it out loud, the person asked me if I have read the same specific book.

Empathy, as you may already know, is when we tune into the emotions of another person, mostly based on their facial expression and their words, to feel the way they do. If we are good at empathy, we can easily deduct from the emotions of the other person what they are thinking.

The important thing to note is that, in all of these cases, we are not actually reading the mind of the other and we don’t actually know what they are thinking. We simply appear to be reading their minds. It’s really more a guessing game, and we regularly guess it right.

1981 Germnany Wurzburg I met a group of people who were psychic. I was messed up, I was bipolar and didn't know it among other things. we played AD&D and one guy would read my mind and know if a given item was good enough or not and chose not to take it. I don't know why they still played the game with me as DM because hindsight tells me I totally sucked at it.

How do I know they are psychic. They did an intervention with me one day in the post library. I thought of something far off left field that had nothing to do with what we were talking about and one of them repeated my thought word for word. "Wouldn't it be something if some ghost lady walked up the floor, like in Ghost Busters." Something totally stupid to think of given what we were talking about, but there is no way he could figure out what it was I was thinking without reading my mind.

Later, I panicked thinking the Female in the group would think little of me if she read my mind and knew I thought about her sexually. I confessed and asked to be forgiven in a way, in front of witnesses, that might have given her away as being psychic had the witness listened intently enough. Another time, after overhearing one of the guys bragging about killing flies with his mind, I told the female of the group, he needed to be stopped, crushed, possibly executed. Like I said I was mentally insane at the time.

They gave me a cold shoulder after that and 2 days later I unexpectantly mysteriously got transferred to a remote Radio Site in the middle of no where. When I came back, over a year later, they were all gone.

I've never met a psychic individual,as far as I know, since then.

addendum; I'm Agnostic because I don't believe a Diety had anything to do with the creation of the Bible any more than one did with the creation of the Greek Mythos. That does not mean there isn't something out there that could only be called God. I don't know. Who knows, maybe it's a party, I'll find out when I get there, maybe.

Anyhow, I live my life as if someone is always watching and judging me. I assume, there is an audience like in that movie with that comedian from Pet Detective. Maybe were in a Matrix and will wake up when we die? Or just die and never realize we were in a Matrix. Providing a Machine intellect with power. Actually I think Cows would produce more power and wouldn't require a virtual reality to live in.

My job, which is remote customer service, sometimes a tech, sometimes in sales, records everything I do on my computer and phone while I'm on the clock. Nobody takes the time to watch everything I do, but they do have the capability to go back in time and see anything I have done. Who knows maybe someone, or a group of someones is keeping track of our lives the same way.

I do think mind-reading exists.

In my own case I'm telepathic and I don't like this. I have had people talk about dreams they had about me and their dreams were based on truth. I have also dreamed things about them that turned out to be true. I have found it unsettling. In many cases, people have told me what I was thinking and they were accurate. There was no way my body language could have helped them figure me out to the extreme that they did. I've met people who knew my future and knew what I said under my breath and knew what I was visualizing in my mind. I've known cold insensitive people who could figure out things that bothered me and used it against me.
Some authorities have advised me that it's dangerous, but I've contacted psychics that work for pay and have also gone to visit them as a friend and nothing more. They've said they can see lights in my aura or that my aura is full of colors and some have said my aura was grey.
There are also experiences people have had that are frightening that no one understands unless they experience them.
This shows that there are all types of mind-reading.
