The Problem of a Lifetime

Postby staticx2659 » Tue Apr 11, 2006 12:49 pm

Many people dont really think of lying as a really big deal in their life. Well from experence I do. For 7 years I have been always lying. I have lost friends, family, and almost the girl of my dreams due to this horrible cause. People tell me its simple stop lying. Ive tried that. It feels like an addiction. I will admit i have a problem. I wanna be able to break this habbit and live my life so people are able to trust me again. Even when i do tell the truth, people dont believe me. I have almost no friends and the girl that i absoultly love doesnt really trust me all that much anymore because i lied to her about little things that really dont even matter. I was so heartbroken. It took me almost to the point of loosing my life to even realize that i have a problem and i need to fix it. So if anyone knows what im talking about or has some way to help me please let me know. It would really make me feel so much better.

I comment you on your truthfullness in your post. Believe it or not you have taken great strides towards getting better. There are a few other things I would reccomend. Going to a counselor you feel comfortable could be very valuable. You have already admitted to coming clean with your friends. Now you need to get the motivation to get well....and it can be done.

I had nearly given up on my older brother. He is 55 now and his lying has cost him his marriage and kids. He is now doing better than I have ever seen but it has cost him dearly.

Please consider getting some help with this...it just may change your life.
