Does it count as lifting?

Postby General Opterix » Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:52 pm

First off, I'm not sure I'd call myself a kleptomaniac. My lifting isn't pre-meditated but once I'm in the store and I see something I want, I plan out what I'm going to do.

And I don't know if this count but, I've gotten into the habit of stealing the same thing almost every day. Well, kinda stealing. here's the thing:

Well, I'm a freshman, so now after school I can go downtown. And downtown, there's a borders. So what I do, is I go in, wait until the cashier is busy, so she doesn't see me pick up a few chocolate bars near me. But I don't leave the store with them. I take them upstairs, and eat them while reading a book or something. I toss the wrappers and leave with nothing but a satisfied sweet tooth.

Does it count?

Hi,

Stealing is stealing, so - yes - this does count. it's nothing major, of course, but I think that you should analyse why you are stealing these things. Is it because you are genuinely poor?; do you like the 'buzz' of it?; or do you like the thought of taking from the 'rich' and giving to the poor?
