I would never live somewhere there is an association. Nope. Never.
It would bring out the worst in me. I'd act out. I'd feel like I had to, just to show them.
I can't live there, and I can't live in an apartment. Same deal.
For the sake of others, I need to be at a distance from them, and their rules too.

My mom and I used to watch shows on HGTV, where people would buy houses and fix them up, and these people would come over and say "we're a part of this neighborhood association group, and you can't paint your house that color"

This all takes place in America. I don't understand how this is legal. That's honestly the most fascist thing I've heard of everyday American citizens being able to do. I mean seriously, I agree with you, if I'd be looking for a house, and the real estate agent told me this, I'd tell them to take me to a different neighborhood.

It's quite simple- it's written into the original deed, I'm sure, then can be enforced, and I presume, not removed by subsequent owners. This seems to sum it up nicely:

I wouldn't live in a place that did that, either. It's bad enough my house isn't really mine- no one's is, when you get down to it. You can owe nothing on it, but if you don't pay your yearly tribute (tax), men with guns come and take it away from you. Well, if not paying the tribute for the same bit of paid-for property, over and over, means it gets taken away, then it wasn't really mine.

So that's bad enough, but then some neighborhood busybody is going to tell me what to do with what we've agreed to pretend is mine? And it's not even anything to do with zoning ordinances? Oh, hell no, ###$ you and the witch's broom you rode in on. If I wanted to be associated with a bunch of stuck up perras, I would be already.

Christ almighty, do I hate picture disc vinyl records. I have three now, two came in the mail this morning (Thanks, Amazon). Like, I had a Judas Priest picture disc vinyl (Screaming for Vengeance), but I got Mercyful Fate's first two albums, and I knew they were going to be picture discs, but the Judas Priest album plays and sounds fine. The Melissa album jumps from the start, both sides. On two different record players, each with new needles.

Listening to "The Oath" now. Doesn't seem to jump. But holy cow, are they an eyesore. I have red vinyl, white vinyl, vinyl with designs on them, blue vinyl, and a green vinyl, but they're not eyesores. It's a solid color and nothing else. It also irritates me that they just came in transparent plastic sleeves. Not an outer sleeve like all my other vinyl. When I paid $30 for the one and $22 for the other, the least they could do is send me an outer sleeve. The Judas Priest one didn't have an outer sleeve, but it was only $11.

I've been trying to collect metal vinyls to go with my classical vinyls. I have more coming over the next few days, and I just hope that they're not picture discs.

What's driving me crazy? I finally grew tired with our neighbor who is always drilling in inapproprite time. Like sunday night, come on, think a little!
So I ran in there straight from sauna, in tights and hoodie, dripping wet. But it was the building next to us so I had to take a secret cellar route.
I met up with a family from Iran? They didn't even have a name in mailbox, just grryjlh.
I was so mad my voice was shaking, and hands too. And this guy, about my age mostly stares at my boobs and claims this is the first time they're doing anything and I exclaimed it certainly isn't - they've been terrorising us for six months! At least learn to drill, they were just making terrible noice.
The guy says sorry and I ran accross the yard in wool socks, because my electronic key didn't accept the route backwords
My bf said he was looking at my boobs to avoid mad eyes. Yeah!

It always bothers me when a customer walks through the store blasting music out of their cell phone. If you can afford a cell phone, you should be able to afford a pair of headphones.

EDIT: And even though I'm not a cashier, you should definitely turn it off when you go through the cashier's line.

I just kinda did that. I was in a hurry, needing to get to my son and needing cat food, but both of the cashiers were looking at their screens frowning, line was getting bigger, but no one said anything. There was obviously some kind of a technical problem.
I really needed to catch that train so I tossed the food into a nearest basked and demonstratively walked out of the store.

That's different. They were having technical problems (happens all the time at my store), and you had to go somewhere. It's understandable what you did.
