[b]What happened to heaps of posts??[/b]

Well, I came online yesterday, and it said the last posts were from the 9th of Jan, which I knew wasn't right, because I'd seen new posts the day before and replied to them. I went to check out posts I'd replied to and my replied were gone...

So just wondering...whats happening here???!!!

I apologize that you've encountered problems. Our site administrator is working on this. Here is a portion of his reply to another of our guests...this might help you better understand what is currently taking place!

Due to the recent growth in the forums we've had to move to another server. We copied the database over to the new server and requested the DNS change. Posts made while we were waiting for the new server to go live were posted to the old database. We're still working out some bugs on the new server, once the bugs are fixed we'll synch up the database and restore all the missing posts.

Some of the errors we're trying to fix:

Ranking badges aren't working properly
Private Messages aren't working properly
Posts done during the "missing time" need to be restored
Registrations made during the same period are also missing

Sean has noted that as soon as his team is able to, missing posts, etc. will be recovered. He is just asking us all to be patient. This can be a troubling and time consuming process!!

Thanks for that! It all makes sense!! lol. Its all fine, I don't mind. It just got me all confused! lol. I'm like 'wheres all the posts gone??' haha. But now I know, so its all good

Our site administrator really works HARD on this site. I never realized the amount of hours he pours into keeping the site running, updates, dealing w/ hackers and problems, etc. He deserves so much thanks and credit for all he has provided us here. I know often he takes WAY MORE SLACK then he deserves....there is just so much more to running a site like this....I never even imagined myself til I started helping "mod" the boards....and I still don't have even half a clue what Sean does! I just know I'm grateful!!
