Music Anyone??

What type of Music are you guys into and what is your favorite "group"

l like rock and as of the moment my favorite band is -H-I-M-

my favorite band is They Might Be Giants. The Beatles are cool, too.

i like all sorts of music (even rap, new age and mariachi ! ) but the kind I know most about is rock.

Nice choice of bands Chlorine. "Birdhouse In Your Soul" by TMBG is one of my favourite songs. Also whenever I feel a bit low I stick on "All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles.

As for me, I'm into most types of music as well but I really like singer/songwritery stuff the most. My favourite bands/singers are Radiohead, Bob Dylan and R.E.M.

Well....I'm more into "Classic Rock" ....although I like a really wide range of music......anything from Elton John to Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, AC/DC, ....the 80s "hairbands" are not bad! ....I like some country....more along the lines of say Toby Keith....I also really enjoy jazz, blues, and classical music. I like a wide variety.....but for saying that....I'm not into Rap...hip/hop....or bands that would fall in the same category as say....Marilyn Manson.....I like some of the newer stuff out now....I like Jessica Simpson style music....3 Doors Down style music....etc. etc. etc.!!!

I guess if I really had to pick one style of music that I like the most...I guess I sort of jump all over the map, I know....but if I were forced to pick one area...I'd have to say "classic rock"!!!!

If I had to decide on a broad category of music, then I'd say rock. Some of my favorite groups (both older and newer) would be: 10 Years, Alkaline Trio, The All-American Rejects, Audioslave, Bayside, The Bravery, Bush, Coldplay, Counting Crows, Crossfade, Disturbed, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, Hawthorne Heights, The Killers, KoRn, Live, Manic Street Preachers, Marcy Playground, Maroon 5, Mudvayne, My Chemical Romance, Nirvana, Offspring, Papa Roach, Queens Of The Stone Age, Radiohead, Relient K, REM, Seether, Senses Fail, Shinedown, The Shins, Silverstein, Slipknot, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Staind, Stone Temple Pilots, Sum 41, System Of A Down, Temple Of The Dog, Third Eye Blind, Three Doors Down, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Tool, Trapt, The Used, and Weezer. I also like to listen to Buffalo Springfield, Bob Marley, Tom Petty, Sublime, Sting, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to change things up a bit. (Sorry for listing so many groups, I was looking through my iPod as a reference and couldn't choose just one favorite.)

Anyone into Tom Waits?

To reply to Mike, I think Tom Waits is brilliant, but I only followed him up through "Heart of Saturday Night" and "Small Change." I have to admit that I mostly tune into Classic Rock these days, although I try to be eclectic in my tastes. There's something about 70's Rock that just invigorates me.

I also listen to a lot of contemporary musical theatre, like stuff from "Wicked" and "Rent."

Rock...I really dont have a fav band though & I dont have the time to type all the bands I like lol
