muse, roxy music, billy bragg, nirvana, the cure, finch, sigur ros, mozart, the proclaimers, him, sex pistols, bullet for my valentine...

lots of rock, bit of metal, bit of classical, bit of alternative

(and there should be a seperate thread in every forum for people to go when they first discover Kurt's suicide note so they don't bug everyone else by jumping to conclusions about his death with no evidence. ah *memories of when i was kurt obsessed*. oh, hole is a good band too)

Pantera (While we're discussing dead musicians: R.I.P. Dimebag)
Megadeth
Children of Bodom
Shadows Fall
Slipknot
Black Sabbath
Ozzy

Basically, angry music, with a lot of guitars. I do like mellower stuff as well.

Mmmm... ...Megadeth's Symphony Of Destruction... ...

...I'm quite fond of Roxy Music & Bryan Ferry too. Such songs as Oh Yeah, More Than This, Slave To Love, Jealous Guy, and Dance Away are timeless wonders.

Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes,
Swaying to the symphony...

 I love that song.

I don't think I've heard them, although the title "More than this" sounds familiar. Did anyone cover it? It appears that Brian Eno was in the band. I have heard his music, IIRC.

I don't know if More Than This was covered but I definately know that John Lennon also sang Jealous Guy. You should get these songs if you can though - They are outstanding.

Anyone here hear of the Replacements? They pioneered the whole Nirvana/Pearl Jam sound that is so popular today.
I bought me an illusion,
And I put it on the wall,
I let it fill my head with dreams,
And I had to have them all.
