OK what is this? It's an off shoot of the threat "What's in a name?"

I decided to do something different?

To learn about this...please visit "What's in a name? and what I am doing?

I don't want to clog that thread with this for that thread has importance of it's own.

We are making a story!

EVERYONE IS INVITED TO MAKE THIS.

That means...it is a multi-author or multi reply thread with imagination that can go anywhere?

So comment or should I say add to the story...we all will keep it going?

"As, long as it is open, Middle Earth, is on brink of chaos. Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits have evolved to intermingle with men. Luckily the traits of all are within there grasp. Yet, they don't know the potential. Man kind is still weak and is easy prey for the forces of Evil coming from the gateway that should have been forever closed.

"You are one of those I can find from Earth who can change the tide and forever close that gateway? Enfortunately it will take skills of power. These you have to discover and all who come here to fight the Evil.

"In the ruins of Rivendale..there is a chamber that even I did not know. Only their can one person be able to read a tongue of Elvish beyond my grasp. It will disturbing and yet, hopeful...for who ever reads this has the fate of Middle Earth and those who can close the portal and finally give peace to this world."

Mr Smith or Elf...faded away and I was alone...until...

I heard a loud intrusive ringing, and realised I was in one of those crazy dreams I'd been having lately. 'I've REALLY gotta stop watching so much television', I think to myself.

I lift my head off the table, quickly realising I'd been reading the newspaper upside down. 'It does look a little Elvish like that', I laugh to myself, as I straighten myself a little and head for the front door.

I reached to answer the door, not realising that the combination of drool, and laying on the newspaper for so long had imprinted the main headline on my cheek.....
