I maybe overdid it with the 'life sentence' part. I wanted to ask - would you rather be innocent in your own eyes (while sacrificing your freedom) or in public's eyes (while sacrificing your own personal integrity).

I'm always for experience and learning. Unless something radical like a death penalty. I'd probably want to escape that one.

A coward emperor doesn't sound that appealing. Didn't Commodus exhibit traits that would fall on the psychopathy spectrum..? I've seen the movie but can't remember well... But he was just a very nasty character, that I can remember. Anyways, I'd rather be Maximus.
