how many of you listen to rock music

Postby at_the_drive-in_ » Mon Aug 29, 2005 11:27 pm

i normally listen to emotional hardcore stuff (emo) like at the drive-in, fugazi, glassjaw, sunny day real estate, you and i, circle takes the square, ect., ect. but i really like a variety of rock. A.F.I.s older stuff is some of my favorite, i also like radiohead, killradio, the futureheads, the decemberists, depeche mode, really just alot of kinds.

so what do you guys listen to?

btw, in a somewhat unrelated question, i often go through phases of listening to certen music. for instinces when i listen to blindside i think of my trip in mexico and can remember like certain things that i thought while listening to it then...i can't listen to blindside anymore.. and like i used to listen to this one song on my page avenue cd (it was sort of a complusive thing) at a certain time during the day many weeks. now i cant listen to it either. and my old favorite band, i couldnt even force myself to listen to any of their cds, cause i dont want to have to think about the thoughts that seem attached to it. i have tons more examples too.. i know its kind of weird, but i wondering if this happens to anyone else.

Really, rock is the genre I listen to the most. I have a lot of favorites, but if I were to judge favorite by which band I spent the most money on (buying CDs and songs), then it'd easily be Electric Light Orchestra
