I made my own "science books" as a kid (from 10-17 years old). Was heavily into astronomy for many years. Been playing Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders for twenty years. Was a Linux user for many years. Tried dozens of distros for fun. Never found the perfect one though. Although I do prefer Linux over Windows. If some machine breaks down, I try to fix it myself. I love Back To The Future-trilogy and my computer is basically my best friend.

I have invested 99+ hours to every Final Fantasy game up to FF 11.

I played Resident Evil 5 for over 200 hours in total.

I played through Chrono Cross 3 times to get every single character and every ending.

I beat Alan Wake in one sitting (took 9 hours).

I own the OST's to every Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Half-Life, Elder Scrolls, and Silent Hill game + the OST's for Castlevania: SOTN, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Mirror's Edge, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Rule of Rose, Shadows of the Damned, and possibly others and I listen to them regularly.

So basically it's all video game related. And I also see my computer as my best friend.

And I've seen Jurassic Park over hundred times. Wouldn't mind living inside that movie. Same goes for Alien films (for the first four of the franchise).

Don't know if that's geeky or what... but yeah

Jellybeanery: Have you seen Silent Hill the movie?

My 3500 plus comic books, the fact I've seen the original star wars trilogy over a hundred times probably. Yes yes.

I carry around a little spiral notepad and pencil. But not in my front shirt pocket.

Indeed, I have. I own it. And I have watched it probably over 100 times. I think it is THE BEST film adaptation of a video game. Although some things were changed, and Pyramid Head is in it, I think it is amazingly well done and very true to the source material; e.g. the awkward camera angles, the light sources, the overall atmosphere, the monsters, the use of music by Akira Yamaoka from the games. The set designs are phenomenal.

The sequel though... that sucked (imo). But since it was not written by Roger Avary and not directed by Christophe Gans, that was to be expected.

So I guess I could say my obsession with Silent Hill is also geeky. Silent Hill 2 is by far my favorite of the series. I think it is one of the greatest works of art ever, in terms of psychological horror thrillers.

Also, about owning the OST's... I have from SH1 - Shattered Memories (all by Akira Yamaoka) and I listen to them A LOT. He is my number 1 most scrobbled artist on last.fm with close to 6,000 plays.

It's a cool movie. Atmospheric and haunting. I especially liked The Pyramid Head. Never played the game so can't compare to that... If you're talking about Silent Hill: Revelation, yeah it sucked. It was just really bad as a film.

I am not very geeky but I counted my books on my 21 birthday. It was some kind of competition . Now they are out of control. I need more space.

I need to count my comics, and I too need more space. 3500 comic books, 200+ vinyl records, all the DVD's and music box sets and regular books, I JUST NEED MORE SPACE! DX
