Wow, I suffer from OCD intrusive thoughts about people breaking in & killing my cat & pet rats.

I can't believe it actually happened to you, Iwoya. I'm... speechless. :(

I hope everything works out & your cat can live well in his/her new state. I'm sure it was very traumatizing.

That's awful. Some people are just absolutely awful and it really makes me angry to hear about how somebody could do that to a defenseless animal. They must have some balls (sarcasm) to do something like that. I'm sorry, but I just get so pissed to hear about something like that. They honestly deserve to rot in hell. Once again I'm sorry for any offensive language.

The sad thing is that the creeps who did this were released within hours of being arrested (and they were arrested within 45 minutes after the crime). Being young offenders (one is 16, two are 17) they will probably only get community service for this crime. Here in Canada, the "Young Offenders Act" really sucks. I know who two of them are and if we ever cross paths they'll remember me for the rest of their pathetic lives.

[PS] I'm back home now and Ozzy will probably be released tomorrow.

Is he home yet?? How's he doing? Wishing you all the best.

Not to give out the wrong message, but I too would kick the living sh*t out of the tards. In my books, animal torturers are a LOT worse than even serial killers & the like. They should never be let free into society. The law really sucks.
Wishing you two all the best.

Iwoya, tell everyone you can about what they did, if it's legal for you to do it, of course. Make a blog or something.
Maybe people could at least know what they are like, if they don't go to prison. And I'm sure you could make things very uncomfortable for them. All within legal limits of course, you could ask the police or someone with authority/knowledge how you could raise awareness about what they did to a poor animal without getting in trouble yourself. But I think you should really spread the word.

I am glad that you are out of hospital Iwoya, and I do hope that Ozzy is back and feeling better too, I believe that the nature of some crimes should be taken into the whole situation and young offenders who do 'adult' crimes especially when they are old enough to know it's wrong should be treated and punished as adults.

Civil libertarians have reduced society to the point where criminals have more rights than their victims.

I agree with Jasmin, you could spread the word and make things very diffficult for them.

Once again, thanks to everyone for the support and kind words. It has helped keep me strong and I'm very grateful.

Ozzy and I are both home again. he looks weird, being shaved from neck to tail. He's acting like the good ole Ozzy I love. I have built a ramp up to his favorite window as he can no longer jump up to the window sill. My landlord had my apartment professionally repaired and cleaned (he chose an awful shade of yellow for my kitchen :( ). Today I started shopping for new stuff to replace what was stolen (covered by insurance). So right now, I'm all smiles.

i really am proud to be included by such a wonderful group of people. This is a great place to be!!
