I have the semi-unpopular opinion that when Cliff Burton died, Metallica died with him. I have nothing but respect for Jason Newsted and Robert Trujillo as bassists, but good god did every album since Cliff's death just suck! And Justice For All probably would have been a good album if it wasn't the worst produced album in the entirety of forever. The Black Album was lame. Remove The Unforgiven and it's completely forgettable. Load and Reload were steaming piles of hot garbage, St. Anger is the worst album ever made, and Death Magnetic, somehow, was decent and had fun moments. They released that new album whenever ago, and I couldn't be bothered. I did, happen, to ride in a vehicle with someone listening to the album, and I couldn't recognize that it was Metallica. I don't know whether that's a good thing or not, but it was such a dull, lifeless experience. I legit wonder if they play any of those songs off that album live or not. I'd put money down that they don't.
