Random Thoughts... I wanna hear 'em!

Forget about mental illness for a while and just let loose in here.

Any takers, let me know so I can set up the date.

Oh, and his wings are clipped, so he can't fly.

So I learned how to embed youtubes and simultaneously lost the power to post pictures.

It was like some kind of weird comic exchange.

See this is the kind of occurrence that leads me down dark alleyways paved with strangeness.

I found an interesting tidbit on Wikipedia. The tallest basketball player in NBA history was 7 foot 7, and he played on the same team as the shortest player in history, at 5 foot 3. I found that fascinating.

Okay, so I made a post in another forum, but I think it'll bring a discussion here too, and this is an effort to bring a nice discussion to the JFF forum.

Tyler wrote:I hear all the time about what music is considered to be "manly". A lot of people say it's metal, and I disagree with that. Sure, I greatly enjoy metal. It's not always my go to source for music, but I enjoy it. I really enjoy cold, raw black metal. Death metal is okay, I think it's overrated, but it's not bad. Power metal can be fun, but a lot of it sounds the same. However, I don't define it as the manliest music of all.

Classical is my go to for musical pleasure, but it's not the manliest either, Though I do think some of the manliest men to ever live have sung opera

You know what I think is the manliest music of all time? This and this.

One song is singing about how tragic erectile dysfunction is (trust me, I know) and the other is singing about being in the armed services.

There are other genres of music people call manly. Old, easy-listening music like Sinatra. Sinatra sang about "making whoopie". I know, I have the 45 RPM record. I don't know why he thinks he knows so much about making whoopie pies, but I do at work. If he were still alive, I'd challenge him to a whoopie pie bake off.

This could also be considered a manly form of music

Lol Elvis.

Yes, Sinatra is manly!

And cool.

When men were men...

The only problem is, do I want to be cool like Frankie?

Or fabulous like Nancy?

Decisions, decisions...

Snaga, I'll send you some of my whoopie pies. Sinatra can't hold a candle to them!

So I was sitting down with my birds and we were discussing quantum theory and other topics of science when my one conure suddenly brought up the fact that he's a tree worshiper. I'm all, "That's cool, man. I worship the sun and the moon."

The sun is always there, and when it's not, the moon is. They're watching over us, taking turns so the other can sleep. They're good role models. If I ever have children, I'll be sure they worship the sun and the moon too.

When I'm at work, the moon is out, and instead of taking my break time to eat, I go talk to the moon. "Hello, moon, I hope you're well," is how I usually start it off.

"I am well, thank you, Tyler. I see you're here again. I may be the ultimate protector, but I cannot make you monetarily rich, but I can bring you happiness."

"Thank you, Moon, that's all I ask. I love you."

"I love you too."

I dreamt of a cute baby alligator in my bathtub.
I remember thinking I'd need to keep it well socialized, rested, loved, happy, and most importantly, well fed so that when it got older and bigger, it would remain docile for me to continue to handle and so that it wouldn't be too much of a threat to others.
I truly wish I could have an alligator or caiman

When I dream, they're usually nightmares. I don't dream very often though. How it goes for me is "Oh boy, wide awake..." and then five seconds later, "Oh boy, I slept..."

When I have nightmares, it's ALWAYS about me losing my teeth. I doesn't matter what else is going on in the nightmare, I'm losing at least one tooth, if not all of them. It's a major fear I have, and my dentist told me my teeth looked better, but it's like, I don't know. If I had better dental insurance or had a disposable income, I'd be all "Implants or dentures, please," but I don't have the money for that.

Like, I have nasty ass teeth as is, but I still smile with confidence. If I was missing one - at least a visible one - that confidence would fall off a cliff.

Not one mention of doughnuts. Not sure if I should be relieved or concerned.
