But wouldn't if be fun if everyone had to dress-up as their avatar in some way?
You could be half-black and half-white Arbie. Or maybe have dragon wings and a tail!

That sounds cool! Although, some avatars might be easier to replicate than others. Say, MMonroe's would be easier to replicate than MirageXD's or yours. But it'd be even more awesome that way. Might help the antisocial people a little, too, since they might have friends on the forum, so they could make them real life friends. Although, the Schizophrenia forum might get a little troublesome...

hmmm, I must admit the dinner idea is pretty cool and so is the dress up idea.... a masquerade ball would be the way to go, maybe some would find a little comfort in their anonymity being somewhat intact.

I so want to go to a masquerade ball the idea is fantastic! Geography though seems to be a hindrance esp if finances are tight.

However we could host our own per country and then compare notes, so to speak

Hmm that actually is a plausible one Coming... each country holds their own ball, as long as they can get enough people to attend that is.. of course the US could break their ball into 2.. an East Coast and West Coast one if cost is too much....

I know why you love it Coming, you want to be the one that cooks the meal.... to express to the group your talent with food....

You can all come to my apartment here in central England. Okay, maybe you all wouldn't fit inside, but we could take over my street for the day. I think that a big meet-up for American users was actually in the pipe-line many years ago (I've been here for 6+ years) but it never materialised.

However, Platypus made a good point when mentioning the avoidants and those with social anxiety (amongst others).

I think us rather resourceful Aussies could organise one here within the "Land Down Under"... Of course we would have to pick a suitable city and venue.

I really think that it could be helpful for us to get out and socialize and paint which ever town we choose ... and paint the town a bright cheerful colour - not red.
