You have not been here for too long. Do crushes develop in such a short time-frame?

"BitterAlmond" I must say I do agree with "ComingOutOfMyShell" on this one, if you feel something it is possible that your intended crush does too.

As for your question "Chucky" if people can believe in .. Love at First Sight... then why couldn't a crush develop so quickly and easily.

This should really say " Love at First Post" ;) but yeah does seems a little quick unless you take lurking into consideration perhaps :)

That is true "ComingOutOfMyShell", and I do believe there is a very high possibly that "BitterAlmond" has been lurking in the shadows of anonymity for some time before joining us here. It does tend to be a little fast for a crush to 'develop' but if they have been lurking for sometime that would explain a few things I am sure.

Yep - I've been reading ever since I was diagnosed, but just decided to create an account. I don't know if I'd call it a crush; that sounds so highschool. I'd say more of an interest in an interesting person.

'BitterAlmond' I agree that the term 'crush' sounds so very high school. And if we all were compelled to show interest in the interesting people then I would hazard a guess to say that many of us would have far more crushes. I have an interest in a few people and naturally this list is growing gradually but not all are what I would term 'crushes' merely a healthy interest.

I have been coming here rather regularly lately, I guess in an effort to understand my condition better, but to also escape the dreary monotony of my present existence. As I have spent more time here I have become more interested in several people because I have taken the time to read their words and attempt to better understand them and where they are coming from as people.

Ah, but I don't believe in love at first sight. This boils down to what you and I define as love. To me, it's when two peoples' lives become intertwined to such an extent that they almost couldn't live without each other. it's something that is built up over months and years. If someone feels such strong emotions 'instantly', then it is either a crush or it points to other 'issues' within the person.

I've 'fallen' in love over the Internet before, but it took a few months of talking with the person. Right now, I love my family and I'm on the dating scene trying to fall in love with a new best friend, my future wife.

Well Chucky that is good to hear, I hope all goes well for you on the romantic side of things and this little forum is about "Crushes" so instant attraction would fall into that would it not?

I know that there are a lot of wonderful people here, many I admire and respect - I may have even developed a crush too, it sure feels something like a crush.
