What Did You Dream About Last Night?

Zombies.

I have two recurring dream themes-

1) Spiders
2) Zombies

Found myself helping a friend move to a palacial ridiculously large liberty villa somewhere in Italy.

This involved moving oriental carpets of outrageous size and value, which seemed to increase as each new room got more vast.

Shades of Alice in Wonderland, or in this case Herbert in Tuscany.

Then moved on to a villa which i had inherited (Yay!) somewhere in Italy, which i hoped was more modest. It wasn't. If anything, on first impressions it was slightly bigger. On second impresssions it was just bloody vast. The master bedroom was about the size of a ballroom, and all the other rooms were generally bigger. It also turned out to contain a moderately size Italian piazza with designer shops and its own hotel, as well as four large rooms devoted entirely to flowers and water.

I quite like these architecture and property dreams - wooster has the same sort of dreams, although hers are usually more abstracted architecturally - but they are somewhat difficult to describe adequately to the casual reader.

However, i did discover three of my former cats: Fleur, Jake and Lotte - all now dead - fast asleep near one of the major staircases. Awwwww.


NB: Sorry to all you zombie and spider dreamers out there, but i have had only one anxiety, or pursuit, dream since the age of 13. If i remember correctly i was being pursued by a demon. As i don't respond well to demons attempting to freak me out i turned the tables and started chasing the demon. Eventually it was cornered, and i forced it to turn around and face me. And guess what? It was me.

Thank you Dahliaa, although i have no idea what "palacial" means. Think i might have been trying to type "palatial" and failing miserably.

Very poor standard of dream last night, probably due to a lot of non-rem sleep trying to make up for the recent insomnia.

Did have one where i appeared to be wandering around the hills as the parliamentary candidate for all the political parties, and talking total cobblers on behalf of all of them for large sums of folding money quickly trousered. A bad attack of the Hills Are Alive With the Sound of BS. All the listeners appeared to be somewhat bewildered by my increasingly bizarre policies which i was plucking out of thin air for the hell of it. So nothing unusual there.

However, what i did notice was that the relative size of the full whisky glass i was constantly holding appeared to depend on the political party i was talking on behalf of, and the amount of BS i was talking. Must be a moral there somewhere.

I dreamed about being in bed with Cheryl and Toni from Riverdale. not sexually, just in a really nice bed in pj's snuggling and such.

I also dreamed about hanging out with my ex and his girlfriend, him and I were cuddling a bit so then she went into another room and made out with this guy and my ex got mad and left but then I found them in another room together all snuggly and they left right away so I went and saw a bunch of other people that were all hanging out in another room then found them outside together so I told them I was leaving because they kept leaving as soon as I entered the room which my ex wouldn't directly admit to but I gave them hugs goodbye and left.

I like to read about your dreams. Other people always have better dreams. I had a nightmare. I was walking on a unfamiliar road somewhere. It was nobody there and I did not know even why I was there. I was looking for something but what. It was quite dark there. I think it was late. I tried to find my phone but noticed I have not any things with me. Actually I even did not have any outerwear or shoes. I tried to stop walking but I could not. It was very odd and distressing. Then I woke up suddenly.

I dreamed about my ex and his girlfriend again, which was annoying. I was hanging out with them and a bunch of their friends and started to get close to one of the guys, the 2 of them separated from us and the rest of us all went out for a walk then came back pretty late. they lived in this big weird house with a big change room like in a school and I was in there getting changed when we got back and the 2 of them were in there getting dressed too and the girlfriend started nervously asking me all these questions about the guys, thinking something bad must have happened, freaking out about me getting in a car with a drunk driver when I never even got in a car with anybody and I didn't understand what she was talking about or why she was getting so worked up. my ex just looked at me disapprovingly from over the top of the door of his changeroom and never really came into the conversation and I wondered why he didn't come try to calm down his girlfriend who was getting so upset over nothing.

Seemed to be involved in a cross between 1001 ways to avoid Hogmanay and 2001.

Found myself living in the north east of Scotland, and strangely enough living next door to an old girlfriend - bad idea - and trying to avoid her desperately.

It also appeared to be the 31st December, all the locals were planning to go out out first footing, and i was trying to avoid everyone. Loads of people from my past kept turning up, i refused to open the door, and kept running out to the garden to sow vegetable seeds in the glasshouse and pretend i wasn't in.

It was during one of these escapes to the garden that i noticed a 12foot black monolith in the middle of the lawn.

And of course i just had to try to touch the monolith, fell through it, and found myself hanging on to the side of the bed with wooster pulling on the bedclothes and demanging some of the duvet back.

I had not any dreams last night because I did not sleep at all.

Wonder what "demanging" means?

Suspect i may have meant "demanding", but it's hard to tell these days.
