Hammy! I'm remembering that from a Red Dwarf episode. How about something else that begins with an H ?. Horace or Hagar. I like Hagar - Hagar the horrible.

i have named him Bogey. yes as in green ugly bogey. wanted to call him something cheesy and unusual. not too keen on common names like hammy, fluffy etc.

Hamsters are always nibbling at something. I'd name him Nibblet.

I like "Chewy" for that reason and because Chewbacka on Star Wars was furry, too. And it sounds neat. "Chewy"

Whatever you name it, it should have a PhD. It just throws people off when you say "oh, that's Dr. Suchandsuch." I had a gecko named Dr. Zhivago. I made all kinds of Russian jokes about him. He would just sit there and lick his eyeballs. I'm sure a hamster is much more entertaining.
