I took one of those ink blot test when I was in the hospital those things are so fun. One looked like two lizards climbing up a leaf. Another looked like a robot and a dragon. And the last two looked like if you've ever seen the prince of Egypt the seas parting and heavens gate

When are you going to get feedback about the results? I do'nt understand what worth psychologists gain from such tests, but i'm open to learning someday.

The Ink Blot or Rorschach Test is used by the psychiatric field to asses the current state of mind of a patient.
Like if two people look at an ink blot and one sees a butterfly while the other sees a vagina one is in a happier state (though which can be debatable).
It's not really useful beyond judging the current state of mind.

Are you supposed to say what first comes to your head though? I think that's one flaw to the test, but I'm struggling to put into words why I think it's a flaw. I just feel that having more time to think about the image would give more insight than having the patient say what first comes to their head.
Edit: i doubt many real butterflies get mistaken for vaginas (and vice-versa...)

Actually the two answers appear frequently on the same cards.
