Dark River is literally the meaning of my first name in it's original language. Compared to most other first name meanings it was fairly unique/strange, so I went with it. I don't think it really reflects my personality (or lack thereof) I wasn't thinking about that when I made my username.
Also it isn't taken often online so I don't have to add numbers/words onto the end of it.
*Edit - I thought I saw a similar topic to this before and I was right. (This one has 13 pages for you to read if you are that interested.)

A variation of an automatically generated name in an on-line game roughly 10 years ago. Also, it's somewhat close to my real name so i kinda use it in many places.
"The muffin man?" "THE MUFFIN MAN!"

Just the initials of a band name, for no reason other than that I hate coming up with usernames and thought the letters looked okay together.

The name that my friends (such as they were) called me at school.

Because I am only one of many. There is room for more and maybe me saying out loud makes it easier for the other brave men and women to share their courage too. Knowledge if not shred is useless. I will give all that I have got.
