I have a job.

Forget about mental illness for a while and just let loose in here.

I have a job.

Exciting news!

I have just been succesful in getting my very 1st full-time job. It's as a Health Care Support Worker working on a secure unit for 12-18 year olds who have multiple mental health issues and are a danger to themselves and others.

I am very much looking forward to it.

I smiled :) I am happy for you. Didn't you mention this job a while ago? I mean, you mentioned that you had been going for it?

Thanks Chucky.

I'm not sure I mentioned this specific job, although I may have done. I do know that I said it was the type of work i was looking for.

Congrats! 8)
Do not take my advice before talking to your doctor/counselor/other professional. Depending on where you live, you may be able to find free, confidential care. Most importantly, sometimes your shrink can be wrong. Get a second opinion.

I'm sure that you mentioned it, but it's not important if you did or not. Maybe you just mentioned that you are looking for work in general. Anyway, with so many out of the job these days, be happy that you have something; and what's better is that you enjoy it. In the place where I have just started, it's mostly contract-type research, and many are now at the end of their contracts with no more research money for them.

When will you start?

Don't know when i'll start yet. It depends on the paperwork including a CRB check (it will be my 6th). I know that it won't be for another 3 weeks at least.

Good for you. When a person finds a good match, in a decent work environment, the rest of their life works better, and they have more energy after work. And, people benefit from their services.

I hope your work leads you on to all the great, new, research into mental health and diet, as well as heavy metal poisoning. I hope you learn about all the great work of the orthomolecular revolution into health sciences (as initiated by Linus Pauling and carried on by Abram Hoffer, Humphry Osmond, and scores of other great and brave doctors).

I hope you build bridges with orthomolecular physicians and naturopaths in the future to further your interest and abilities to help children.

All the best,

Jerril

Good luck in your job, Kezza!
I hope you´ll find lots of satisfactions in this job. Let me tell you that is not an easy job but I know you´ll feel helpful.
P.S: You mentioned about this kind of job. I think it was in the thread called: What are your interests or something like that.
