wow, your post is quite pessimistic. Have you ever gotten to know a child? spoken to one? enjoyed their company and realised how smart and inquisitive they can be?
People fall in love and want a family and remember, kids are only kids for so long. The love and family bond is invaluable to each and every family member throughout their whole lives. There's a lot more to being a parent than the physical things that you see. People desire to bring beautiful, loving and understanding children into the world and I admire that.
I would never ever want a child under 5, or have to look after a teenager. But if i ever decide i do want to have a family of my own i guess i'm going to have to put up with it.
Viewing children as being completely negative and not positive at all is just as bad as those who bad-mouth couples who don't want children.
