Do you remember that Jaffa cake advert?

The one with the older couple.
The man is looking for his glasses (which the lady has put in the fish tank) while the lady eats all the jaffa cakes.

Anyway, the man said:
"Are you sure you haven't seen my glasses?"
To which the woman would reply:
"No."

This always annoyed me. By saying NO she is answering the question IMO "No, I'm NOT sure I haven't seen your glasses" which is a double negative and therefore is like saying "Yes I have seen your glasses".

She should have answered the question "Yes". "YES, I am sure I haven't seen your glasses".

Of course really the man should have asked "have you seen my glasses", to which all answeres would have been unambiguous.

Chocolate side up BTW

Its actually a cake, not a biscuit. The clue is in the name.
Mcvities the company that makes them, went to court about it.

Appartently biscuits are tax liable, whereas cakes are a luxuary item and tax doesn't need to be paid.
The govermnet was asking for millions in back taxes from Mcvities, so they had to prove Jaffa cakes are cakes.

I don't know how people can consider it a biscuit. The only thing in common is the size and shape.
It is actually just a very small cake. I think the goverment are just greedy.

PS
I'm not a huge fan of jaffa cakes. I'm just bored at work.

Thanks, Bright Eyes!
In my country luxury items are tax liable. Here, all is tax liable. My goverment is even greedier than the English one.
They always put the excuse that in other European countries, civilians pay more for everything.
And don´t mention the council hall, they are now getting ready their vacaccions through parking fines. Example, yesterday. Car(mine), the boring people (a pair a cops who I tried to explain that I parked for a moment to get some food in an opposite shop).

Did you guys know that a packet of Jaffa CAkes makes its way around the Man Utd dressing room during half-time of games? They're actually one of the more healthy biscuits/cakes to eat. I knew a girl from England once who claimed to eat a whole packet in one go. i was fonder of the ould' Jersey/Custard Creams to be honest... ...
