I must confess for a period of my life I was with you on your original comment but I've mellowed a lot since then. I think most people who go into teaching want to do good but it's the system that sucks.
I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me all at once.

I went to a Christian school, so, it was expected that they'd try to drive their religious views into us (and they did). The thing is, if you force your ideas onto people, that'll make them not believe them.

I must be honest, I don't know quite what to make of "faith" based schools. Kids are very easily led and while there is an obvious need to impart a sense of morality and ethics, I don't think you need the religion tag to achieve it. I find it more comforting that my kids don't shoplift, bully and hurt others because they understand it's wrong to rather than not doing it because there scared of burning for eternity in Hell.
