Hi I'm strawberryindigo. I picked this name because I am full of contradictions. I am sweet and tasty like a strawberry but I am equally moody and dark like indigo. I'll keep it until something better comes along but the name really fits for now.

Can't remember where mine came from. It's all lost in a blur of emotions from long ago. All I know is that I carved the word "NEVER" into my chest with a blade.

I was living in Tokyo a few years ago and was riding around on the trains with a friend and we came to a train stop called "Jimbocho" and so my friend tells me that 'cho' means like "village" or "town". So I was like "we're in Jimbotown???" which struck me as funny and so we started spinning out this goofy fantasy of what Jimbotown would be like. We ended up at this party and got kinda drunk any time he would act the fool, I would channel my dad's redneck Texas relatives and threaten "we don't cotton to that kinda tomfoolery in JIMBOTOWN!" and the rules of what was and wasn't acceptable in Jimbotown got increasingly baroque and absurd. I already figured I would use a picture of my great-granddad (who was a west Texas sheriff during Prohibition) as a zombie for my avatar, and figured a zombie sheriff would not be out of place in Jimbotown. So yeah, that.

Well, my username is basically my initials and the age I left college and started to thread warily into real life.
I suppose my username reflects my individuality in a world where long lists of statistics are the norm while also showing my unique outlook on life and on the problems it frequently throws up. As mentioned above, the number 19 as my age shows the real moment that I started to truly move on into adult life, leaving my childhood and teenage memories, good and bad, behind me. Thus, DJM19 was created.

...Alright, maybe it's not quite so deep-thinking, but it sounds good. The unglamorous truth is that it was the first username that came to my head.
