Hmm, the thing about it is that even though Americans/Canadians claim to have some Irish in them, most Irish people (living in Ireland) will claim to be descendent from English! So, is there actually any 'pure' Irish people? They are few and far between. my surname is certainly English.

Incorrigible, you have made little sense. From what I gather, you've been chatting up a 4 year old, but i'm seriously tinking that's not the case.

I always thought Dunn was a Irish name.

I don't think my grandmother was born in Ireland, though we have descendants from there, if that makes sense.

Italian shows more in my blood then Irish does anyways as my mom was born there, my dad was born here... they don't sound irsh my grandparents, but it's in the blood.

Incorrigible doesn't make sense too often :P

Dunn is a Scottish and Irish name from the Gaelic donn = dark, brown... a nickname for the man with dark hair or a dark complexion.

I don't know maybe just say it to my bf and to my sister lol say things that they'd not understand.

I'm really into Scottish history back in the 1700's....
Always found it interesting, I doubt i'd actually learn it.
If I learn anything it'd be Italian, never learned and likely should have, never could understand my grandparents lol.

yeh, aren't most people here descendent from the English? They did invade our lands a few hundred years ago and congregated the lot of us to Connacht (west Ireland). Who are the genuine Irishmen here? You'd have to draw a line somewhere, because I could even say (and be correct) that there is no pure Irishman, because it was the Celts who invaded these lands a long long time ago.

... ...now I'm just being silly.
