Yeah, they're not THAT old. Sometimes older music is better I think. Wow, I saw The Association listed. I'm still waiting for a girl I can dedicate "Never My Love" to. HAHA. Right now I'm listening to The Shirelles. Good stuff...

It's a great song, huh? I don't think many people have heard it before though. I don't even recall ever hearing it in a movie. It's one of those forgotten tunes. Which sucks because it's such a sweet song. I bought their greatest hits cd just for it. :D

Yeah, timeless music :) The Beatles were one of the first bands I liked as a child and I still do 20 and something years later. They are probably the only band I loved my entire life. As for Lennon, I didn't start listening to his solo stuff until recently, but I was blown away. Plastic Ono album just kills me every time.

I'm in LOVE with John Lennon! He was the most brilliant man! I just can't get over him and probably never will. His music was sheer genius and I feel it SO much!

He was also an asshole to many people who loved him, but I can't really blame him, since he was mentally and emotionally in a mess.

It's amazing and touching how much he opens up in his music. Also, you can feel music change with him as he gets older and more comfortable with himself, his family and the world.

But yeah, he is an icon of popular culture. I can't think of anyone after him that even comes close.
