Where do I introduce myself??

Hello people of the psychForums,

whenever I join a forum, I always want to properly introduce myself, but I can't find a dedicated spot on this forum, so I'll just place it here untill I get redirected

I'm Shawn Kevin, my calling name is Kevin, but i prefer Jack when using the internet. I've recently (self-)diagnosed myself with Asperger's syndrome, and am in the process getting it confirmed by experts. Finding out the existence of Asperger's syndrome has been a great relief for me, as I've been struggling for years to find reason behind 'being different' and not being capable of coping socially. I've joined these forums to get more insight in the symptoms and their effects, so I'll probably ask allot of questions soon

I live in the Netherlands, and am currently finishing my education for ICT(-System and Network engineering). Among other interests are Photography, Art, Psychology, Buddhism, Warhammer, Dungeons&Dragons, Music (oldies-rock, nu-metal) and my '67 beetle

I'm also a collector of many things, my room is more like a giant storage room. Most of the stuff is memorabilia (ranging from screws to bullet casings, and stones to skulls), suff from 'back in the days' (nes, snes, sega, transformers), cd's (over 500 originals, got almost everything from Nine Inch Nails for example) and much much more.

In relation with Asperger's syndrome, I love to talk about any of the above (so feel free to comment/ask about any) but get stuck on subjects outside my 'interests'. Sorry if i don't reply to some posts directed at me, sometimes I just can't find any... this has led to some misunderstandings on previous forums I've joined, and I'm hoping to avoid them by telling you all in advance in hope for understanding

Wellcome, Jack! I hope you learn about Asperger´s in the right forum, anyway there are some videos in Avoidant personality disorder.

In relation to music, no-problem! You are going to find lots of music in Just for fun forum, Some members and I post here lots of songs.
