Two songs today:
The first one is by a Spanish Group "Jarabe de Palo" and the song is called: grita (shout). Pau, the vocalist dedicated this song to a friend who was in a bad moment (depression).
No video, only the song. This link sounds better!

Chucky the lyrics:
Hace días que te observo,
he contado con los dedos,
cuantas veces te has reído,
una mano me ha valido.

Hace días que me fijo,
no se que guardas ahí dentro
a juzgar por lo que veo,
nada bueno, nada bueno.

De qué tienes miedo,
a reír y a llorar luego,
a romper el hielo,
que recubre tu silencio.

¡Suéltate ya! y cuéntame
que aquí estamos para eso,
"pa" lo bueno y "pa" lo malo,
llora ahora y ríe luego.

(estribillo)
y si no te escucho, ¡Grita!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThoyFK3_V58

lyrics:

Ricardo Montaner is one of the most popular singer in Venezuela.
I hope you´ll enjoy this video, where you can see Jimmy Angel´s Falls in Canaima National Park.
The song is called "The top of the Sky"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhLVbocN ... re=related

The lyrics

Dame una caricia
dame el corazón
dame un beso intenso
en la habitación.
Dame una mirada
dame una obsesión
dame la certeza
de este nuevo amor.
Dame poco a poco
tu serenidad
dame con un grito
la felicidad.
De llevarte a la cima del cielo
donde existe un silencio total
donde el viento te rosa la cara
y yo rozo tu cuerpo al final.
Y llevarte a la cima del cielo
donde el cuento no pueda acabar
donde emerge sublime el deseo
y la gloria se puede alcanzar.
Dame un tiempo nuevo
dame oscuridad
dame tu poesía
a medio terminar.
Dame un día a día
dame tu calor
dame un beso ahora
en el callejón.
Dame una sonrisa
dame seriedad
dame si es posible
la posibilidad.
De llevarte a la cima del cielo...

Can you recommend me some Speaking-English poets, you like but whose work isn´t very difficult to understand by a Spanish, please.
I found Shakespeare very difficult.
Thank you in advance! :D

Hi ! :D

Hum, poetry is hard enough to understand even by a native English speaker, and it applies to almost any poet/any poetic genre.

What about modern and post-modern British /American playwrights ? Do you like drama ? Lorca also wrote a few stage plays, one of which I saw in the theater, called " The Home of Bernarda Alba " ( La casa de Bernarda Alba ) - i loved it, he uses Southern elements in his work- oranges, southern music, colors, very passionate and intense feelings- it is evident he is Andalusian.

Try reading Arthur Miller, a XX century U.S. playwright. It's good for you to read the English writing that involves plenty of dialogues, because it gives dynamics to the speech, and thus you can easier catch nuances in the language ( tone, pace, color), improving your learning process ( I suppose you want to improve your English ). :D

Thank you! I suppose playwrights are better to understanding. Arthurd Miller, Marilyn´s Monrroe´s second husband. Ok.
Yes, I´d like to improve my English but I´m here, specially, because I don´t want any Spanish people can recognise me, because of my diorders, you know.
Thank you in heart!. :D
