Next on my list is "Night Falls Fast: Understanding Suicide" by Kay Redfield Jamison.

Just started the 'Around the world in 80 books challenge' where you have to read books from 80 different nations and literally hop from country to country. You can't go France-Russia-Brazil,etc, the next country you read from has to have a border with the current country you're reading from.
Started with 'Jude the obscure' by Thomas Hardy ( UK)

I just started (literally 5 minutes ago) The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.

The Girl with the Dragon tattoo was good... had some slow parts, but generally great.
The Girl Who Played with Fire was AMAZING.... but you need the first book to get the 2nd.
I'm excited to start this new one and finish the series...

I am currently reading One Thousand White Women - the Journals of May Dodd. It's a fictional book about pioneer women who travel west to marry Cheyenne Indians to hopefully blend the 2 cultures. May Dodd was a wealthy Chicago woman who had 2 children out of wedlock and whose parents institutionalized her in an asylum. To escape the asylum, she signed up for the Brides for Indian program.

I am a little annoyed with it right now, and haven't decided if I will finish or just too it aside. I may put it down for awhile.

I loved the Girl With a Dragon Tatoo series, though it was a little slow at first. The Hunger Games series are good, too.

'Catch 22' by Joseph Heller. The saying 'it's a catch 22 sort of situation...' stems from this book. It plays in the second world war. The main character is a pilot/ bombardier. The book's name comes from the one rule for crazy people in the war: If you fly the plane without complaining about it you must be crazy (as it's dangerous). Crazy people will be excused from service, the only thing they must do is ask the doctor to label them crazy and they are free to go home to safety. However, as soon as they do ask the doctor they obviously realize how dangerous it is and are thus capable of rational thought. Because of this, they are obviously not crazy and forced to remain with the army.

Lady Injury, by Melissa C. Water. It's a memior about how she is trying to overcome self injury and bulimia. It documents her time spent in the psych ward. I am on my second time of reading it since Christmas. The only bad thing is it can be triggering. :(

I am currently reading "The Kitchen God's Wife" by Amy Tan. I'm almost about half way in and I like it so far.
